Day 30 San Francisco, CA

We left Northgate Community Church after a amazing breakfast and coffee. We didn't bike to much today. The traffic in San Francisco is crazy. We were half way on our trip today when the van had a tire blow-out. We were driving down the middle of the highway. When we heard our trailer dragging. We had to cross two lanes of traffic inorder to get to the shoulder. Two hours later, we were back on the road.

And definitely worth the wait. We met with Peter Tropper, our host, who showed us around his school dedicating to helping inner city kids prep for college. They charge tuition based on what families can afford. What a great way to motivate young adults.

After that we headed to our two story apartment. It's fully furnished with two bedrooms, kitchen and gorgeous view. As much as we enjoyed watching T.V. and relaxing on the couch we had to get out. The veteran of the city Andi showed us around. Tonight we had dinner and dessert at Japan center. They served sapporo ramen. Yum! We spent the rest of the evening walking around Fishermans Wharf. San Francisco is cold and windy right now.

Our team is feeling better now that we are in a big city.

Ready for some R and R,

Alyson

This hotel is in a great part of the city close to the water. At check-in we were asked if we would like to upgrade to a room with a view of the bay.
